2. Health meets Future Summit

Die Digitalisierung hat längst auch den Gesundheitssektor erreicht. Der diesjährige Health meets Future Summit trägt dieser Transformation der Gesundheitsbranche Rechnung und widmet sich digitalen Innovationen in der Medizin, der Pharmaindustrie, den Life Sciences und der Biotechnologie.

Nationale und internationale Experten aus Forschung und Entwicklung werden sich den zentralen Fragen der digitalen Transformation der Lebenswissenschaften widmen:
– Wie sieht die digitale Zukunft in der Medizin, der Pharmaindustrie, den Life Sciences und der Biotechnologie aus?
– Wie kann Digitalisierung zur Verbesserung der Patientenversorgung und zur Sicherung des Gesundheitssystems beitragen?
– Welche Auswirkung hat die zunehmend individualisierte Medizin und wie können Patienten davon profitieren?
– Welche Geschäftsmodelle werden im Zuge von Big Data und künstlicher Intelligenz im Gesundheitssektor entstehen?

Dr. Boris Adryan is a molecular biologist by training, with about 50 peer-reviewed publications in the life sciences. From 2008 to 2016 he was a Royal Society research group leader for computational genomics at the University of Cambridge, where he also taught data science and machine learning in an interdisciplinary degree programme. From 2014 his interests shifted to technology and connected products. In the meantime, Dr. Adryan has become an internationally renowned expert for IoT and M2M, and he is the lead author of „The Technical Foundations of IoT“ (Artech House, Boston/London). After a short stint as Head of IoT & Data Analytics at Zühlke Engineering GmbH, he is now acting as expert and consultant within the Chief Digital Office at chemical and pharmaceutical company Merck KGaA.

Prof. Dr. Hans-Hermann Dirksen studierte an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel Rechtswissenschaften und promovierte anschließend an der Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Universität Greifswald mit summa cum laude. 1995 begann er seine Anwaltstätigkeit und ist heute als Rechtsanwalt bei LIEBENSTEIN LAW – Kanzlei für Wirtschaftsrecht in Frankfurt am Main tätig. Prof. Dirksen hat sich auf das Recht der Digitalisierung spezialisiert und berät bei der Vertragsgestaltung und Gesellschaftsgründung im Bereich Intellectual Property und Neue Technologien. In diesem Bereich ist er auch publizistisch tätig sowie ein gefragter Redner auf Konferenzen. Seit 2015 ist Prof. Dirksen an der Hochschule Fresenius Frankfurt Professor für Medizin- und Gesundheitswirtschaftsrecht.

Prof. Dr. Hans Lehrach, Jahrgang 1946 in Wien, studierte Chemie an der Universität Wien und promovierte 1974 an den Max-Planck-Instituten für experimentelle Medizin und für biophysikalische Chemie, beide in Göttingen. Im Anschluss war er als Wissenschaftler an der Harvard University, Boston, USA tätig (1974–1978) und dann Arbeitsgruppenleiter am EMBL in Heidelberg (1978–1987). Von 1987 bis 1994 leitete er die Abteilung »Genomanalyse« am Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London. Seit 1994 ist Lehrach Direktor am Max-Planck-Institut für Molekulare Genetik, wo er die Abteilung Analyse des Vertebratengenoms leitet. Er gehörte dem wissenschaftlichen Koordinierungskomitee des Deutschen Humangenomprojektes (DHGP) an und leitet u.a. das 1000-Genome-Projekt am MPIMG. Lehrach ist maßgeblich an der Entwicklung von Hochdurchsatztechnologien für die Genomforschung beteiligt.

During the last twenty years he has worked across many roles from drug discovery, clinical development, sales and marketing. As global head of digital solutions for respiratory at Novartis he was focused on digital healthcare innovation, where technology meets health outcomes.
Two years ago he started Phorix Limited, a Basel and London based company focusing on catalyzing innovation and harnessing the power of Patient-Led design to improve healthcare interventions.
Separately he writes on the science and art of storytelling and how to make science memorable.

She has perfected the methods which optimize the development process, including integration and testing processes, for breakthrough complex technical systems. By applying the “functional anatomy” method, all projects have been completed within the given time frame and budget Herna’s way of working is analytic and systematic and has made her who she is today. Respect, openness and trust are very important to her. Her employees and customers value her fast and logical judgment as well as her reliability and social competence. She is clientservice oriented and is always open for new challenges. Due to her international background, Herna Muñoz-Galeano speaks English and German fluently and Spanish is her native language. On 29th April 2016, Herna Muñoz-Galeano was awarded the Career Award “Engineer PowerWoman 2016” by the Deutsche Messe AG at the Hannover Messe. Since 1998, Herna has been an independent entrepreneur and managing director of HMG Systems Engineering GmbH, which emerged in 2014 from the merger of two other companies established by Herna. HMG Systems Engineering GmbH was awarded in 2016 as one of the Top 100 (top100.de) most innovative SMEs in Germany.

Yoshiyuki Sankai is a professor and Executive Research Director at the Center for Cybernics Research, University of Tsukuba; the President and CEO of CYBERDYNE, INC.; and a Program Manager of the Impulsing Paradigm Change through Disruptive Technologies (“ImPACT”) program, which was initiated by the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (“CSTI”) of the Cabinet Office in Japan. He is a fellow of the Robotics Society of Japan (“RSJ”) and the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (“SICE”) . He also served as Chairman and an Executive Board Member of Advanced Robotics. He is a member of Global Future Council on Human Enhancement of the World Economic Forum.
