8th European Corporate M&A Conference

We take the developments around the coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously. The safety and health of the participants, partners, customers and our employees enjoy top priority. We therefore take all necessary and possible precautionary measures. To protect everyone involved and due to the requirements of the federal government, we have to postpone the European Corporate M&A conference planned for May 5 to October 20, 2020. If you have already registered for the event, our participant management will be happy to answer any questions at 069 69 79 40 95 25 or info@convent.de.

While the M&A appetite of many European companies weakened in 2019, several industry outlooks for 2020 predict an increase of deals for this year. The main drivers are still the globalization and the need to grow businesses in size, the digital transformation, the shift from fossil to e-mobility, but also low interest rates and liquidity. With the US presidential election and the execution of Brexit ahead, levels of uncertainty will most likely continue to grow. At the same time, the need for European businesses to grow and adjust to changing markets will continue to be met by M&A activities in 2020.

This year’s topics include:

  • Trade conflicts and political uncertainty – implications for China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the mutual M&A activities
  • External growth in times of increasing digitalization, globalization, and growing political risks
  • Big changes – big chances – the transformation of the automotive industry

Since 2013 the M&A conference has been considered to be one of the most important platforms in continental Europe for yearly about 250 selected M&A decision makers from Germany and Europe.

The conference language is English. The event starts around 9:00 a.m. and ends approximately at 5:00 p.m. with a get-together. The final conference program is expected to be available as a PDF download at the beginning of August.

The hashtag for the conference is #corporateMA.
