2nd Health meets Future Summit

The digitalization now also reaches the health sector. This year’s Health meets Future Summit takes into account the increasing transformation of the health sector and is dedicated to digital innovations in medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, life sciences and biotech.

International masterminds and decision-makers will discuss key questions regarding the digital transformation on the highest level:

– How can digitalization foster better health and care, economic growth and sustainable health systems?
– What can we expect from the future of precision medicine and how can patient care benefit from this?
– How can we develop digital business models and which data privacy issues do we have to keep in mind?
– What are the most innovative and disruptive topics in the digital health sector?

The conference language is English.

The hashtag for the conference is #HealthSummit.

Prof. Dr. Hans Lehrach

Director, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics; Founder, Alacris Theranostics GmbH

The main focus of Prof. Lehrach’s research at the MPI of Molecular Genetics, the Dahlem Center for Genome Research and Medical Systems Biology and Alacris Theranostics GmbH is the development of methods for predicting the behaviour of the complex biological systems, through a combination of genetics, genomics, bioinformatics and systems biology techniques. This makes it possible, on the basis of a detailed molecular examination of tumor patients, to develop computer models of the individual patient, ie ‘virtual patient models’, which can systematically test all theoretically possible therapies. Thus, the optimal therapy for the individual patient, with a possible reduction of side effects, can be identified and made available to the patient. These techniques can also be used for drug development, testing the many steps involved first on a computer model. Thus, ‘virtual clinical trials’ can reduce the risks of developing new drugs at an early stage, reducing costs and accelerate timelines.
